A scarce India General Service North West Frontier 1930-31, Mohmand operations, 1937 Coronation and Royal Air Force Long Service and Good Conduct group awarded to Acting Sergeant, later Warrant Officer W.W. Wright, Royal Air Force who would see service on the North West Frontier during the operations which lasted from 23rd April 1930 to 22nd March 1931, and then during the operations with the Mohmand Column which lasted from 28th July to 3rd October 1933. He would later be present during the 1937 Coronation celebrations and would receive the Royal Air Force Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 4th May 1939. 1 of 36 other ranks members of the Royal Air Force to receive this clasp combination to the India General Service Medal.

William Waldern Wright was born in January 1903 and enlisted into the Royal Air Force on 4th May 1921 and serving as a Corporal (No. 347181) would see service on the North West Frontier during the operations which lasted from 23rd April 1930 to 22nd March 1931, and then during the operations with the Mohmand Column which lasted from 28th July to 3rd October 1933.
Subsequently present at the 1937 Coronation Celebrations, he would receive a Royal Air Force Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 4th May 1939, by this time employed as an Acting Sergent. Subsequently promoted a Warrant Officer on 15th March 1941 he is 1 of only 36 Royal Air Force other ranks to receive this India General Service Medal clasp combination.
