A scarce example of the Kimberley Medal 1900 in silver. The Mayor and Council of Kimberley created the Kimberley Medal. It was struck in England but, due to the fact that it incorporated an unsanctioned Royal Cipher on the reverse, most of the medals were melted down. No medals were issued and it is unclear how many medals survived, thus this medal is significantly harder to find than the more common Kimberley Star
