Nish, 8th Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers who had seen service on the Western Front from 20th September 1915 before later serving in Salonika and being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in the London Gazette of 3rd June 1918.

Edward Nish was born in Stranraer, Wigtownshire in 1891 and would go on to see service as a Corporal (No. 14098) with the 8th Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers on the Western Front from 20th September 1915 and would later see service in Salonika being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in the London Gazette of 3rd June 1918 for services while attached to the Trench Mortar Battery. He would be demobilised on 22nd April 1919
