A recent British Army Rifles Presentation Pocket Watch to Colour Sergeant B.R.S. Whitehouse, Rifles, who is the recipients of the Volunteer Reserve Service Medal with three additional award clasps.
Presentation pocket watch, chromed and bearing the enamelled badge of the Light Infantry, the dial bearing the retailer’s details for: ‘Gamekeeprs Cottage Gifts’ and the ‘Quartz’ movement, the reverse of the case engraved: ‘C/Sjt Ben Whitehouse 24953003’.
Ben R.S. Whitehouse was serving as a Lance Corporal (No.24953003) in the Rifle Volunteers when he was awarded the Volunteer Reserve Service Medal, as published in the London Gazette for 8 March 2005, and as a Corporal in the Rifles when he was awarded the first clasp to his Volunteer Reserve Service Medal, as published in the London Gazette for 24 November 2009. He was then a Sergeant in the Rifles when he was awarded the second clasp to his Volunteer Reserve Service Medal, as published in the London Gazette for 5 December 2017, and he was a Colour Sergeant in the Rifles when he was awarded the third clasp to his Volunteer Reserve Service Medal, as published in the London Gazette for 25 June 2024. He was at some stage presented this pocket watch.
