A rare pair of Battle of Britain period Royal Air Force ‘Official Duties’ shoulder titles.
Condition: Minor fraying around edges, in otherwise very good condition
This insignia ‘Official Duties’ was introduced in 1938 as the war looked more certain. It was an emergency issue and used during the Battle of Britain, mainly by female staff and members of the Woman’s Auxiliary Air Force before specialisit plus official duties became available in early 1941.
This particular type of shoulder titles are considered most rare.
