McArthur died in service at Elandsfontein on 8th February 1902.

William B. McArthur served during the Boer War as a Trooper (No.30006) with the 35th Middlesex Company, 11th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry, and saw service out in South Africa on operations in the Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal. McArthur died in service at Elandsfontein on 8th February 1902
