Awarded to Private (No.5040) A.G. Thumbwood, 1st Royal Dragoons, who saw present during the Boer War in South Africa on operations in the Cape Colony, the Orange Free State and the Transvaal during 1902. He is additionally entitled the South Africa 1902 clasp.
