A Palestine casualty Victory Medal to Gallipoli veteran Private D.C. Voisey, 6th Battalion, Essex Regiment who first landed on Gallipoli on 10th August 1915 and later died whilst serving in Palestine and having no known grave is now remembered on the Jerusalem Memorial.

David Cowan Voisey saw service as a Private (No. 1972) with the 6th Battalion, Essex Regiment and first landed at Gallipoli on 10th August 1915, and later died whilst serving in Palestine and having now no known grave is remembered on the Jerusalem Memorial. He is noted as the son of Mr. and Mrs. N.H.D. Voisey of 116 Plashet Grove, East Ham, London. He is noted by the Commonwealth War Graves as having enlisted in August 1914 and being wounded in the Dardanelles.
