Wilfred Farrington was born in September 1912, and saw service with the 2nd Battalion, The Loyal Regiment during the Arab Revolt in Palestine. He would serve in the Far East during the Second World War and would be taken prisoner at the fall of Singapore whilst serving in the rank of Lance Corporal.
