A Military Medal recipient and later German Spring Offensive Prisoner of War’s Victory Medal awarded to Private F. Elliott, 12th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps who having seen service on the Western Front from 24th July 1915 would be awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette of 18th October 1917 before being taken Prisoner of War on 25th March 1918 during the German Spring Offensive.

Fred Elliott saw service as a Private (No. R/8830) with the 12th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps on the Western Front from 24th July 1915 and would be awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette of 18th October 1917 before being taken Prisoner of War on 25th March 1918 during the German Spring Offensive. He would survive the war to be discharged to Class Z Reserve.
