A Malaya, Borneo and Malay Peninsula pair awarded to Rifleman Jitbahadur Gurung 10th Gurkha Rifles who saw service in Malaya during the Malayan Emergency and later in Borneo during the Indonesian Confrontation during the period from 24th December 1962 to 11th August 1966, and also during the Malay Peninsula operations during the period 17th August 1964 to 11th August 1966.

Rifleman (No. 21147666) Jitbahadur Gurung, 1st Battalion, 10th Gurkha Rifles joined up on 5th January 1957 and saw service in Malaya during the Malayan Emergency, later serving in Borneo during the Indonesian Confrontation during the period from 24th December 1962 to 11th August 1966, and also during the Malay Peninsula operations during the period 17th August 1964 to 11th August 1966.
He would be discharged on 21st April 1968, his testimonial stating that he was well disciplined individual who had carried out his duties very satisfactorily, and would be well suited to a job as a bandsman or as a waiter.
