Lance Corporal (No. 24767668) M.J. Thornton, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, later Royal Logistics Corps was present during the Gulf War as part of Operation Granby which lasted from 16th January to 28th February 1991. He would still be serving at the time of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 and would be in receipt of a Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
