Plummer-Goodwill, South African Service Corps who had been 1 of 878 men of the Natal Carbineers to take part in the suppression of the Zulu uprising in 1906 before later serving on the Western Front with the South African Service Corps with whom he would be awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette of 25th June 1918, a gazette that largely covers action in the opening days of the German Spring Offensive.

H. Plummer-Goodwill initially saw service as a Trooper with the Natal Carbineers where he was 1 of 878 men of his unit to take part in the suppression of the Zulu uprising in 1906. He would later go on to serve in the Great War with the South African Service Corps and would be awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette of 25th June 1918 a gazette that largely covers actions in the opening days of the German Spring Offensive that had begun on 21st March 1918.
