A Great War pair and Bronze Memorial Plaque to Private James George Fells, 8th (City of London) Battalion, (Post Office Rifles) London Regiment, who was killed in action on 1st December 1917, together with an official War Office letter sent to the recipeint's next of kin forwarding his I.D. disc.

Together with an official War Office letter, dated 3rd Jan 1918, addressed to Mrs E. A. Fells of 66 Edmonston Road, Stratford, E15, forewing the ID disc of ‘the late No. 373923 Lance Corporal J. G. Fells, 1/8th Bn City of London, London Regiment, received from Germany’.
James George Fells was killed in action on 1st December 1915 and is commemorated on the Cambrai memorial, Louverval, France. He was 25 years of age and lived at 7 Ash Road, Stratford.
