Alfred Robert Baldwin was born in Drury Lane, London, and was living in Camden Town when he enlisted into the British Army, seeing service during the Great War as a Private (No.S-22990) with the 7th Battalion, Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders, and died of wounds on the Western Front during the German March Offensive on 26th March 1918.
