Cameron, 8th Battalion, Scottish Rifles who saw service on the Western Front from 19th January 1917 and who was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in the London Gazette of 3rd June 1919 for his services during the Great War.

Alexander Duncan Cameron was born on 2nd August 1897, the son of Alexander Cameron and was educated at Glasgow Academy, he would serve in the Army from 2nd September 1914 being commissioned on that date, before later serving on the Western Front from 19th January 1917 with the 8th Battalion, Scottish Rifles.
Cameron would be appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the London Gazette of 3rd June 1919 for his services during the War. His Great War medals would be sent to Bailie Nicol Jarvie Hotel, Aberfoyle, Perthshire.
