A good Waterloo Medal 1815, original steel clip and ring suspension awarded to John Moulds, 2nd Battalion, 95th Regiment of Foot – the Rifles who saw service at the Battle of Waterloo on 18th June 1815 where he served with Captain J. Logan’s Company which was positioned between Hougoumont and La Haye Sainte during. 2nd Battalion, 95th Regiment of Foot – the Rifles suffered 34 killed, 193 wounded and 20 missing, a total of 42 percent casualties. They would subsequently head up the triumphal entrance into Paris on 7th July 1815.

John Moulds, 2nd Battalion, 95th Regiment of Foot – the Rifles saw service at the Battle of Waterloo on 18th June 1815 where he served with Captain J. Logan’s Company which was positioned between Hougoumont and La Haye Sainte during the Battle.
Logan later wrote from Paris:
‘Such carnage I never before beheld. The firing of guns etc was so great that the man next to me could not hear my orders’
2nd Battalion, 95th Regiment of Foot – the Rifles suffered heavy casualties during the battle with 34 killed, 193 wounded, 20 missing from a total of 585, making 42 percent casualties in total. The Battalion would go on to head up the triumphal entrance into Paris on 7th July 1815.
