A good Sutlej Battle of Sobraon, Second Sikh War and Indian Mutiny Lucknow operations group awarded to Gunner H. Hobery, 3rd Brigade, Royal Artillery, subsequently Corporal, 3rd Troop, 3rd Brigade, Heavy Artillery and Drill Sergeant, 3rd Brigade, Heavy Artillery who saw service during the Sutlej Campaign being present in action at the Battle of Ferozeshuhur from 21st to 22nd December 1845 and then at the battle of Sobraon on 10th February 1846, he would then be present on operations during the Second Sikh War and finally during the Indian Mutiny including in the operations around Lucknow which lasted from November 1857 until March 1858.

Henry Hobery (also Hobuy) a native of Harlow, Essex saw service as a Gunner in the 3rd Brigade of Royal Artillery and was present in India during the Sutlej Campaign of 1845 to 1846, being present in action at the battle of Ferozeshuhur from 21st to 22nd December 1845, and then at the battle of Sobraon on 10th February 1846. He would then be on operations in the Second Sikh War during the Punjab Campaign, however he was not present in any major action.
He would then serve during the Indian Mutiny including in the operations around Lucknow which lasted from November 1857 until March 1858.
Little is known of Hobery/Hobuy’s service other than that he applied for a pension from Chelsea in the 1860s and that this was granted.
