Hubble, Scots Guards who saw service in South Africa during the Boer War and was being present in action at Belmont on 23rd November 1899, at Modder River on 28th November 1899, at Paardeberg on 17th to 26th February 1900, at Johannesburg on 31st May 1900, at Diamond Hill on 11th to 12th June 1900 and at Belfast from 26th to 27th August 1900.

William Hubble was born in Shepherd’s Bush, London and giving his trade as a Shops Steward and having noted previous service in the Royal Navy as a Servant attested in London on 11th May 1891. He would serve at home from 11th May 1891 until he travelled to South Africa on 21st October 1899 where he would take part in the Boer War being present in action at Belmont on 23rd November 1899, at Modder River on 28th November 1899, at Paardeberg on 17th to 26th February 1900, at Johannesburg on 31st May 1900, at Diamond Hill on 11th to 12th June 1900 and at Belfast from 26th to 27th August 1900.
He would return to the UK on 21st July 1902 and be discharged on 10th May 1903.
Hubble’s death certificate states that he was a Labourer at the British Museum at some stage prior to his death in 1946.
