A fine Polish Cross of Valour and Monte Cassino Cross group of seven to 2nd Lieutenant Tadeusz Boy, 5th Kresowa Infatry Division (16th Lwowski Rifle Battalion), a regular pre-war soldier, he was taken prisoner by the Russians in 1939 and sent to the Soviet Union, then released in 1943 to join the Free Polish Army and fought in Italy where he was wounded during the Battle of Monte Cassino, on 13 May 1944.

Tadeusz Boy was born in 1914 and came from Dobczyce near Krakow. He was a pre-war regular in the Polish Army and taken prisoner by the Russians in 1939, and sent to the Soviet Union.
He was released in 1943 to join the Free Polish Army and fought in Italy, being wounded on 13 May 1944 at the Battle of Monte Cassino. The award of the Cross of Valour is confirmed in records held at the Polish Institute, a copy of this document is sold with the grouping.
He died in London in March, 1958.
