A fine and most complete Great War Western Front pair together with rare Tribute Medal from the town of Raleigh, New South Wales, awarded to Gunner S.R. Henderson, 5th Field Artillery Brigade, Australian Imperial Force, who on his return from France in October 1919, was presented with his local tribute medal.
British War Medal and Victory Medal; (35618 GNR. S.R. HENDERSON. 5-F.A.B. A.I.F.); rare Great War Tribute Medal, silver gilt and enamels, hallmarks for Melbourne, Victoria, with date letter ‘w’ for 1919, presented by the town of Raleigh, New South Wales, and engraved on the reverse: ‘Presented to Bombardier S.E. Henderson By Raleigh Friends on returning from Active Service October 1919’.

Awarded to Gunner (No.35618) S.R. Henderson, 5th Field Artillery Brigade, Australian Imperial Force. The 5th Field Artillery Brigade served with the 2nd Australian Division from 6th September 1915 past November 1918. Henderson came from the town of Raleigh in New South Wales, and on his return there in October 1919, was awarded the Releigh Tribute Medal.
