Mary Jane Donergan appears on a General Nursing Register dated 7th March 1958 registered at Jervis Street Hospital, Dublin and is listed in the Q.A.R.A.N.C. lists Lieutenant Lonergan as working with the Middle East Land Forces in 1959.
She was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant into the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps on 6th April 1958 and promoted Captain 10th April 1962.
Donergan later married Peter W.D. Gill at Poole, Dorset during January 1965. She died 8th February 2020.
