A Boxer Rebellion, Great War and Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal group awarded to Able Seaman H. Gann, Royal Navy, who was present aboard H.M.S. Endymion during the Boxer Rebellion and would later serve aboard in H.M.S. Hector during the Great War.

Henry Gann was born in Tramore, Waterford on 17th May 1881 and entered naval service on 23rd October 1896 as a Boy 2nd Class aboard H.M.S. Impregnable. Drafted to Endymion as an Ordinary Seaman on 7th June 1899, and saw service on the China Station during the Boxer Rebellion, he was then promoted Able Seaman on 14th April 1901, serving aboard Endymion until 4 September 1902. He served in H.M.S. Hector and Greenwich during the Great War.
HMS Hector was a requisitioned merchant ship used as a kite balloon ship in the Dardanelles campaign and would later be returned to civil service in 1918.
