Bourne, 1st Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment who having seen service in South Africa during the Boer War on the operations in Transvaal would later serve during the Great War on the Western Front where he would arrive on 10th September 1914. He would later transfer to the Military Foot Police.

E. Bourne would initially see service in South Africa during the Boer War where he would take part in the operations in Transvaal. He would later serve during the Great War with the 1st Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment arriving on the Western Front on 10th September 1914. He would later transfer to the Military Foot Police seeing service as a Private (No. P.12896)
