Laws, 81st Battery, Royal Field Artillery who would be present in South Africa during the Bore War where he would be present during the relief of Kimberley and an the actions at Paardeberg, Driefontein, Johannesburg and Wittebergen.

Thomas Laws was born in East Winch near the town of Lynn, Norfolk and attested on 19th March 1898 and would serve at home until he travelled to South Africa on 13th February 1899 where he would take part in the Boer War with the 91st Battery, Royal Field Artillery. Whilst in South Africa being present during the relief of Kimberley and an the actions at Paardeberg, Driefontein, Johannesburg and Wittebergen.
He would return home on 28th November 1903 and would be discharged on 22nd December 1903.
