A 1940 Fall of France Prisoner of War group of three with original ID tags and insignia to Lance-Bombardier T. Smith, 10th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, who was born some time held at Front Stalag 100 before being held at Stalg 344, Lamsdorf.

Terrence Smith was born in London on 1 April 1909 and enlisted for service with the Royal Artillery in 1927. He served for 6 years after which he joined the Army Reserve. Recalled following the outbreak of hostilities, he embarked with the B.E.F. to France in 1940. He was taken Prisoner fo War at the Fall of France having been captured some time between 10 May 1940 and 16 June 1940. Initially he was held at Front Stalag 100 before being moved to Stalag VIIIB, later renumbered 344, Lamsdorf. Smith was later repatriated and discharged from the Army in 1944
