Henry Bartholomew ‘Harry’ Stachini, a Pawnbroker’s assistant from Peckham, London, attested for the 162nd (Camberwell) Howitzer Brigade, Royal Field Artillery on 14 April 1915 at the age of 19. He served in France from 11 Dec 1915 and was severely wounded in action on 13 October 1917 suffering a fracture to his right hamerus and gunshot wounds to his left leg. He was invalided home on 16 Oct 1917 and discharged physically unfit on 13 Feb 1919.
His father, Henry Stachini, lived at 68 Rosemary Road, Peckham, London.
