Thomas Findlay was born in Dover, Kent and lived in Hamilton, Lanarkshire. He joined the Highland Light Infantry as a Boy Soldier and became a Piper.
Findlay is interred in the Pont-Du-Hem Military Cemetery, La Gorgue, France.
