1914 Star and bar trio awarded to Private, later Corporal H.J. Jerrom, 11th Hussars who saw service on the Western Front from 5th November 1914 before later service with the Northamptonshire Regiment before being commissioned as a Lieutenant.

Henry James Jerrom was born in New Cross, London on 10th March 1893, and by the time of the 1911 census would be working as a Spectacle Fitter and living in Islington.
He would join then join the Army and saw service as a Private (No. 15811) with the 11th Hussars on the Western Front from 5th November 1914, before later serving as a Private (No. 43685) with the Northamptonshire Regiment and finally as a Corporal with the 11th Hussars before being commissioned as a Lieutenant.
He died on 7th August 1955 at Langthorne Hospital, Leytonstone, aged 62
