William Scott has two medal index cards, the other being under ‘J. Scott’, and having enlisted on 3rd March 1906, he saw service as a Private (No. 9453) with the 1st Battalion, later 3rd Battalion, Liverpool Regiment on the Western Front from 12th August 1914 and was later discharged due to wounds on 16th August 1916
